Why I Came Back To Tarot

I’m coming on the next era of my life. 50 is right around the corner and I’m pretty stoked! It means that things will be… different. Some doors are closing. Others are opening. I’ll have an empty nest soon. My step-daughters are teens and want nothing to do with me. Their mother really wants them to have nothing to do with me. Drama is going to come to an all-time low. I hope. I realize I’m a storyteller and we need drama to keep stories flowing, but I’ve got the news for that. I don’t need my home filled with it. You know?

So, I’m going through the things I used to enjoy doing, and one of those is Tarot. But with this deck that I’ve had for over a decade, I’m still looking every single card up.

So, in Story Explorer’s Grimoire, I’m doing posts for each card as I go through my tarot journal and work on committing to memory my deck. I want to give readings without looking up all the cards. Like I used to. When I was 20.
