What do you do when going home feels more dangerous than the war you just escaped?

Paige Whiskey broke the treaty between witches and shifters to save lives. She thought she was doing the right thing. But now, standing in her grandmother's kitchen in Texas, she realizes the cost.

Her grandmother—Alma, the woman who raised her—is slipping away, her mind unraveling in real time.

Her sister's kids are spiraling: one with fire magic she can't control, one with a voice that bends reality, and no one knows how to help them.

And Dexx, the man she's learning to trust, is still figuring out how not to lose himself to the demon inside him.

And Chuck, the regional high alpha whose territory they're standing in? He's watching. Waiting.

One wrong move and the fragile truce Paige fought for collapses. One misstep and her family—finally, miraculously whole again now that her daughter is back—becomes the spark that ignites a war.

Barrel of Whiskey is about the impossible math of survival: how do you protect everyone when protecting one person puts the rest at risk?

This is Paige trying to hold her family together when the world keeps asking her to choose.

I really loved the story which is unusual with a great variety of paranormal creatures and situations which make it a great story! This book is full of magic, mystery, and plenty of excitement. This book is a can be read alone but it is tied to the Whiskey Witches Universe series. Any reader who enjoys a book with magic and mystery will love this book as much as I did.
